See what High Quality Services look like.

The federal Head Start program was started in 1965 as an initiative to help communities address the needs of disadvantaged children. Modern Head Start has as its goal increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income and disadvantaged families.

Friends of Children and Families, Inc. (FCF) is the non-profit organization that operates the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Kuna, Mountain Home and Glenn's Ferry, Idaho.

FCF provides a high-quality early childhood experience to prepare children for kindergarten and life-long learning.
